Family Relationship

Gui:  Hello teacher, what's up?
Teacher - Nothing special Gui. What are you doing here?
Gui : I'm looking for some book with regard to family relationship.
Teacher - Which relationship?
Gui :  For instance , How do you say the daughter of my aunt?
Teacher - It's cousin.
Gui:  That's interesting. What about her son?
Teacher - You say cousin for both of them.
Gui :  Dope! Well , my sister Danielle doesn't have any son . What if she had one...   How should I call him?
Teacher - Call him by his name.
Gui :  lol! I don't  know his name yet ...I mean ...
Teacher - I know what you mean, I was kidding! Your sister's son will be  your nephew.
Gui :  Nephew. Ok. What if he were a girl?
Teacher - If he were a girl he wouldn't be "he" but "she.
Gui : You are funny teacher! I am annoying you , aren't I ?

Teacher - No way Gui ! It's a pleasure to help you. If your sister had a daughter , she would be your niece.
Gui : So, it's nephew for boys and niece for girls, right?
Teacher - That's the ticket!
Gui : What did you say?
Teacher - I said that you are right!
......................................................................................................

*********************************************************

Luciano  : Hello Teacher! How've you been?

Teacher - I've been ok . What's up? Why did you call me at midnight??
Luciano - Don't take me wrong teacher...but I'm a little concerned about that Relationship homework you asked me to do.
Teacher - Oh , really? What's the matter?
Luciano - May I call my sister's husband by uncle?
Teacher - No, you can't. Your uncle is your mother's or your father's brother. Your sister's husband is your brother-in-law.
Luciano  - Really? If I had a brother , would his wife be my sister-in-law?
Teacher - That's the ticket!
Luciano - How nice! Let me see if I understood the whole picture. My wife's mother is my mother-in-law.
Teacher - She is . For sure.
Luciano - What about me? Who am I ?
Teacher - It's up to you. All I know is that you are her son in  law
Luciano - Oh my gosh! You are opening my mind. Now I can understand many things...my Wife''s sister  once said that I was her  brother- in- law  because I am married to her sister ...now I know she is my sister in law too. That's awesome!
Teacher - You are going to blow the roof of the mother with this homework.
Luciano - I will , if you keep helping me. May I take advantage of this opportunity ?
Teacher - Of course! That's what teachers are for!
Luciano - Thanks a lot teacher! Well, could you please explain me the difference between a step-brother and half-brother? I'm getting bored to death trying to figure it out.
Teacher - half brothers have one biological parent in common, by the other hand , step brother is only related through marriage. If you and Tati break up  and she remarry ,( I hope it never happens ) his new husband's kids would be Guilherme's  step brothers and step sisters.
Luciano- Just for you to  know teacher...I  love my wife  too much and we will be together for good! I think I understood what you meant .
Teacher - I'm sorry for the " break up " example.
Luciano - Come to think of it, if my father marries again his new wife's children would be my step-siblings, alright?
Teacher - Yeah!
Luciano- I don't wanna get any "step - something" in my life...I'm happy with the family I have...
Teacher - I agree! You have a big and happy family!

**********************************************

Gui- Good Evening Teacher! Please come in! Thanks for answering my call.
Teacher - Don't mention it. Why did you call me here today? Aren't we gonna have class tomorrow?
Gui - Yeah...We will certainly  have class tomorrow but I need some extra explanations about the different kind of relationships. I'm trying myself to do it but ...you know, sometimes I forget some basic stuffs.
Teacher - Alright. That's normal. Let's go straight to the source.
Gui- My mother's mother is my grand-mother , Am I right?
Teacher - Ask your grand-father...
Gui - I got it! What about my grand-mother's mom?
Teacher - Great question! Great answer ! Your grand-mother's mom had a great life for living so much time ...and for this reason she will be forever your great-grandmother.
Gui - And my grand-father's dad is , without no doubt, my great-grandfather...That's the ticket!
Teacher - Hey you! This expression belongs to me!
Gui  - My father told me about  a gangster movie where the famous hollywood actor Al Pacino was called "The God -father" ...What does God -father means?
Teacher - I watched this flick too, it was awesome! Al Pacino is one of the most perfect actor of the world. He was called " The God-father" because he was chosen to be somebody's God- Father. It's a religious term.
Gui- Do you have a God-father , teacher?
Teacher - If I have one I don't know him yet...but I'm sure I have a God who lives in the Heaven and He is my spiritual father.
Gui - If my mother remarries  , how would I call her new husband?
Teacher - We better don't talk about it. Luciano hated when I used this example ...but certainly you wouldn't never call him " Daddy".
Gui- You know what I mean teacher, don't be silly!
Teacher - I thought you understood the structure with regard to "step"
Gui- Step-something again?
Teacher - Yeah! Step-father
Gui  - Oh my gosh! Step- mother, step-sister,step - brother ...stop! I can't take it anymore!
Teacher - As far as I'm concerned you have  enough  material for doing your homework.
Gui - Is it over?
Teacher - Actually there are more relationships we didn't mention today  but I think you already know them.
Gui - Like what?
Teacher - You better finish your homework.
Gui- Just more one question teacher.
Teacher - Go ahead!
Gui - Do we have class next week?
Teacher - Why not? We still  have two classes to make up.
Gui  - I think you should have some time to finally take a shower and have your hair cut . Lol!
